Level B1
English - Learn English quickly from Beginner to Advanced level
Level B1 corresponds to the ""threshold"" level. The goal of this level is to be able to produce simple, coherent speech on familiar topics and areas of interest and to understand the main points of a discussion when clear, standard language is used. Our online English courses are structured to improve vocabulary with topics such as literature, entertainment, science, arts and information. Grammar topics included are: sentence scaling, speed reading, adverbial sentences, modifiers, etc.
Module 1 (Books and Literature)
Books Part 1 – Types of Books Over the Years.
Prepare yourself to be fascinated by the evolution of books through history. In this English topic, you will explore how people read and recorded literature before the advent of the printing press. You will also learn the different materials which were used to make books, how they were printed, preserved and reused.
Books Part II - Types of Books After Printing Press Era
The books we read today didn't always look like this. They were designed and redesigned over and over to suit the requirements and the habits of the reader. In this English topic, you will learn how the books evolved during and after the advent of the printing press.

Book my show (Movie adaptations of books)
Have you watched a movie that was adapted from a book? or read a book which got made into a movie? What is your opinion on movie adaptations? You will discuss in English about such questions and more with your trainer. In this topic, you will also explore some examples of good and bad movie adaptations.
Benji-The book and Karen-The kindle (Books v/s technology).
If books and gadgets could speak what would they speak about? In this topic, you will read a very interesting conversation in English between a book called Benji and Kindle ebook called Karen. They will each speak about their qualities and what makes them better than the other.
Summary Writing
A summary is a short clear description that gives the main facts or ideas about a detailed piece of writing. In this English topic, you will learn the steps involved in writing a good summary, some examples of good summaries and some exercises to hone your English writing skills.

In this English topic, you will explore the modern trends in the consumption of entertainment by the audience all around the world and what part has the internet to play in it. You will discuss with your trainer what are the most favoured channels in your country are and compare it with the previous generation of audience.
Entertainment bonds people
What is the importance of entertainment? What are the different sources of entertainment? Where do you derive your entertainment from? In this English topic, you will explore with your trainer the answers to such questions and learn new vocabulary related to the topic.
Error spotting (Writing exercise.)
To improve your English, it is important to be mindful of the common mistakes that you make, correct them promptly and avoid repeating the same mistakes in the future. In this English topic, you will solve several exercises to spot the errors in the text and correct them.
